Wealth Management

If you’ve already read my about page, you know I’m not a fan of the term “Wealth Management.” I’ve worked for so-called wealth management firms, but I never identified with the term. The word wealthy, for me, conjures up images of mansions, private jets, and butlers wearing white gloves. And research indicates I’m not the only one who feels that way. These studies also show that most self-made people—those who started from nothing and became very financially successful—don’t view themselves as “wealthy.”

So, maybe you found my firm by googling the term wealth management, and that’s fine. I do what most wealth management firms do, I just don’t feel the need to stoke my own ego or try and impress you with the fancy “Wealth Manager” or “Private Wealth Advisor” title. I’d refer to myself as a Financial Planner or a Financial Advisor. Whatever the title, I work with clients I enjoy spending time with, to help them invest their money, and plan for the future. If you’re a successful person and you’re retired or thinking about retirement, and you’d like a one-on-one relationship with someone you can relate to, and who’s focused on your interests, maybe we should chat.
